Each chapter marks a deliberate change in what Incedo does and how it does it — from independence, to focus, to scale, to an AI-native operating model.
Chapter 01
Foundations
Incedo’s origins are in a technology business established in 2011. It became an independent entity in 2014 and adopted the Incedo name in 2015. In its early days, the company focused on providing technology services to US enterprise clients.

Chapter 02
Transformation
Nitin Seth joined Incedo in 2017 as Co-Founder & CEO, bringing a clear ambition to build on the company’s entrepreneurial foundation and create a differentiated, technology-first services company. The years that followed marked a deliberate evolution. Nitin transformed Incedo’s client service model from staffing to a deep domain-led, consultative and solution-oriented approach for clients across Wealth Management, Banking, Telecom, Hi-Tech and Lifesciences verticals
Incedo also expanded its capabilities across the digital transformation landscape and began building proprietary technology platforms, including IncedoPay and Incedo Lighthouse, laying the foundation for a business that could combine deep services expertise with differentiated IP. A rebuilt leadership bench made such progress possible, with senior leaders and industry veterans brought in between 2018 and 2021 to build out digital and analytics capability and accelerate growth.
Digital transformation was the defining theme of the period, and Nitin Seth’s first book, Winning in the Digital Age, published in 2021, set out the thinking behind it. Enterprises were spending heavily on digital transformation and roughly 70 per cent of those initiatives were failing to deliver the results they targeted, and the book argued these were not technology failures but the result of applying traditional business logic to a digital one. In this context, it proposed seven building blocks of successful digital transformation, from defining the new rules of your business to connecting digital technologies end to end, and five rules of execution: anchor every programme to quantifiable business KPIs, treat data as the fulcrum, work end to end, rethink the business model, and implement at two speeds. For Incedo those arguments became the operating model. The two-speed approach the book advocated is the model now embedded across client engagements, its insistence on quantifiable KPIs is what Incedo means by business outcome focus, and the industries it examined in depth are the five verticals Incedo chose to specialize in. The book went on to win five Best Business Book awards, with a new edition in 2023.

Chapter 03
Scale
Data became the next area of focus, on a simple premise: AI starts with structured data. Incedo built a strong set of data capabilities and platforms around data strategy and data modernization.
Incedo Lighthouse emerged as the flagship platform, launched alongside an expanded Digital Center of Excellence and a deeper delivery footprint in India, including a new center in Pune. Brainspark, Incedo’s generative AI platform, strengthened the company’s ability to help enterprises move from AI experimentation to practical business applications. DataXel extended the stack into enterprise data modernization.
The capability stack broadened in parallel across AI & Data, Digital Engineering, Experience Design and Operations, supported by strategic partnerships with the leading hyperscalers, AWS, Microsoft and Google.
Data became the next area of focus, and Nitin Seth’s second book, Mastering the Data Paradox, published in 2024, named the problem it was solving for. Enterprises were simultaneously drowning in data and starved of insight, a deluge-and-drought conflict the book summed up as water everywhere and not a drop to drink: 70 percent of organizations were gathering data faster than they could analyze it, and 87 percent of data science projects never reached production. Its diagnosis was that enterprises were over-investing in the physical—more storage and more compute—and under-investing in the logical: the work of defining a business problem precisely enough to know which data actually matters. Against nine root causes, it set out a Unified Solution Framework of thirteen components, from defining the business problem through KPI trees to productizing data as the missing link between insight and action to mastering two-speed execution. For Incedo, that framework became the data practice: start from the business problem, build data products rather than data lakes, and move clients from AI experimentation to AI-first.
Together, the platforms, capabilities and thought leadership reinforced a clear market position: depth over breadth, and long-term client partnerships built around solving more of each client’s most important problems.
Incedo also got its first Great Place to Work in India for 2021-22 and the second one for the year 2024-25.

Chapter 04
AI-native
The current phase of Inceedo’s journey focuses on an AI-first strategy, rather than simply adding AI to what already exists. Incedo is evolving as a Platforms + Products + Services company, with a clear measure of success: delivering measurable ROI from AI@Scale.
The platform stack now spans Incedo Lighthouse, DataXel, Brainspark and Incedo Navigator. The expanded stack was unveiled to power next-generation industry AI solutions and a new generation of AI products.
The transformation extends beyond the platforms. Domain expertise is becoming a core differentiator, with products increasingly designed around the specific needs of industries rather than broad technology categories, and a two-speed implementation model now embedded across client engagements. Commercial models are evolving toward more outcome-based structures, aligning what clients invest with the value they receive. After years of building depth, Incedo is now expanding its client base while preserving the deep partnerships that have shaped its growth. The talent model is evolving too, with AI fluency expected alongside domain expertise and problem-solving ability and greater emphasis on performance and potential.
Nitin Seth’s third book, Human Edge in the AI Age, published in 2025, completed what he calls the trifecta of transformation: digital, data and AI. Where the first two books approached their subject through a business and technology lens, this one argued that AI raises a harder question: what remains distinctly human as machines grow more capable? Its central distinction for enterprises is between companies that use AI and companies built on AI. Legacy firms treat AI as a feature that improves a product or a process, while AI-native firms treat it as the foundation of the operating model, defining human roles around judgment, creativity and oversight, and competing on learning speed rather than on cost or quality. On the human side it set out the POSSIBLE framework, eight timeless mantras spanning problem-solving, openness to change, spirituality, sports, impact, balance, leadership and entrepreneurship. For Incedo, the book is both the argument for Incedo 4.0 and the reasoning behind its talent model, where AI fluency is expected alongside the domain expertise and problem-solving abilities that AI does not replace.
Incedo has continued to invest in AI talent and infrastructure, with an AI-Native office in Gurugram designed around how AI-first teams work and a new Hyderabad center focused on AI engineering. The company is Great Place To Work certified for the first time in the United States and the third time in India.

Incedo 4.0 is an AI-native platforms, products and services company. If you are trying to turn AI into measurable business results, let's talk.
Talk to an expertMeet our leadersThere are three dates in the story, which is why you will sometimes see different years cited. Incedo traces its origins to a technology business established in 2011. That business became an independent entity in 2014, and adopted the Incedo identity in 2015.
So 2011 is the origin of the business, 2014 is the year it became independent, and 2015 is when the Incedo name began.
