The Incedo Journey

Incedo’s journey has been one of proactive reinvention—anticipating how technology and client needs are changing, building capabilities ahead of demand, and continually evolving the business to stay ahead of the curve.

From a technology services company focused on US enterprises to an AI-native Services plus Platforms firm, each phase of Incedo’s evolution has had a distinct impact. The progression from Incedo 1.0 to Incedo 4.0 reflects a deliberate shift toward deeper domain expertise, differentiated IP, stronger client partnerships, and measurable business outcomes.

Our Journey From a Technology Business to an AI-native company

Incedo started as a technology business in 2011 and became independent in 2014. Four chapters cover what happened after that and where the company is now pointed.

Foundations

Origins

Incedo 1.0

Incedo’s origins trace back to a technology business established in 2011. The company became an independent entity in 2014 and adopted the Incedo name in 2015.

In its early years, Incedo focused on delivering technology services to US enterprise clients, establishing the entrepreneurial foundation and client relationships on which the company would build its next phase of growth.

Chapter 02

2017 – 2020

Transformation

Building the Modern Incedo

Incedo 2.0

The next phase marked a deliberate transformation of Incedo from a traditional technology services provider into a differentiated, technology-first and domain-led organization.

With Nitin Seth joining as Co-Founder & CEO in 2017, the company sharpened its focus on becoming a strategic partner to enterprises rather than simply a technology resource. The client model evolved from staffing-led engagements toward deep domain, consultative and solution-oriented partnerships across Wealth Management, Banking, Telecom, Hi-Tech and Life Sciences.

In parallel, Incedo expanded its digital transformation capabilities and began building proprietary platforms and IP, including IncedoPay and Incedo Lighthouse. A stronger leadership bench, combining experienced industry leaders with talent developed within the organization, helped accelerate this evolution.

Digital transformation became a defining area of expertise. The publication of Winning in the Digital Age in 2021 articulated a philosophy that closely reflected Incedo’s approach: transformation must be anchored in business outcomes, data, end-to-end execution and the ability to operate at two speeds.

The ideas of quantifiable business KPIs, business-outcome focus, two-speed implementation and deep industry specialization became increasingly embedded in how Incedo approached transformation with clients.

The book went on to receive five Best Business Book awards, further strengthening the broader thought leadership associated with Incedo’s digital transformation perspective.

Chapter 03

2021 – 2024

Scale

Becoming a Data Specialist

Incedo 3.0

As enterprises moved from digital transformation toward becoming increasingly data-driven, Incedo identified the next critical opportunity: helping organizations turn growing volumes of data into business value.

The company significantly strengthened its data strategy, modernization and engineering capabilities while expanding its proprietary technology portfolio. Incedo Lighthouse emerged as a flagship platform, supported by an expanded Digital Center of Excellence and a growing delivery footprint in India, including a new center in Pune.

The evolution continued with BrainSpark, Incedo’s generative AI platform, and DataXel, extending the company’s capabilities into enterprise data modernization.

The broader capability stack expanded across AI & Data, Digital Engineering, Experience Design and Operations, supported by strategic partnerships with leading hyperscalers including AWS, Microsoft and Google.

This period also saw Incedo deepen its philosophy of depth over breadth—developing specialized expertise in a focused set of industries and building long-term client relationships around solving increasingly strategic problems.

The thinking behind this evolution was captured in Mastering the Data Paradox, published in 2024. The book examined a fundamental challenge facing enterprises: organizations were accumulating data faster than they could turn it into insight and action. Its emphasis on starting with the business problem, building data products rather than simply data infrastructure, and connecting data to measurable outcomes closely reflected Incedo’s approach to modern data transformation.

During this period, Incedo also continued to strengthen its people proposition, earning Great Place to Work recognition in India for 2021–22 and again for 2024–25.

Chapter 04

2025 onwards

AI-native

The AI-Native Era

Incedo 4.0

Incedo 4.0 represents the next major evolution of the company: moving from helping enterprises adopt AI to helping them become AI-native.

The strategy goes beyond adding AI to existing services and solutions. Incedo is evolving toward a Platforms + Products + Services model, with a clear focus on one measure of success: measurable ROI from AI at scale.

The technology portfolio now includes a set of cutting-edge AI & Data platforms – Lighthouse, Navigator, BrainSpark and DataXel – that are built to solve critical client problems across industries.

At the same time, Incedo is deepening its differentiation around domain expertise. Rather than approaching AI as a broad horizontal technology capability, the company is increasingly building solutions around the specific problems, workflows and economics of the industries it serves.

The operating model continues to evolve as well. Two-speed implementation is embedded across client engagements, while commercial models are increasingly aligned to outcomes and measurable value. After years of building depth with strategic clients, Incedo is expanding its client base while preserving the deep partnerships and domain expertise that have shaped its growth.

The talent model is evolving alongside the business. AI fluency is becoming an essential capability, complemented by the domain expertise, critical thinking, creativity and problem-solving skills required to operate effectively in an AI-native environment.

Published in 2025, Human Edge in the AI Age extends the transformation narrative from digital and data to AI. Its central question—what remains distinctly human as machines become more capable?—reflects an important dimension of Incedo’s own evolution: AI will reshape how organizations work, but human judgment, creativity, leadership and problem-solving remain critical to how businesses create value.

Together, the three books—Winning in the Digital Age, Mastering the Data Paradox and Human Edge in the AI Age—represent a connected body of thought leadership spanning Digital → Data → AI, mirroring the evolution of Incedo itself.

Incedo is continuing to invest ahead of the curve in AI talent, infrastructure and ways of working. Its AI-Native office in Gurugram is designed around how AI-first teams collaborate and operate, while the Hyderabad center strengthens the company’s AI engineering capabilities.

The company has also continued to expand its global people proposition, earning its first Great Place to Work certification in the United States alongside its third recognition in India.

The Journey Continues

The story of Incedo is ultimately a story of continuous reinvention.

Each chapter has been built around anticipating the next shift—from technology services, to digital transformation, to data, and now to AI-native transformation.

What has remained constant is the philosophy: stay ahead of the curve, go deeper into the problems that matter, build exceptional talent, create differentiated capabilities, and measure success through the value delivered to clients.

That philosophy continues to shape Incedo 4.0—and whatever comes next.
